He averaged 50 runs in First Class Cricket and his ODI average was 26 runs. He used to come very late in the order and have very little time to score some quick runs. Asif Mujtaba had won several matches for Pakistan during his career and he is famous for tieing an ODI against Australia on the last ball with a massive six when 6 needed. His ODI average against the cricketing giants of his era was remarkable. His average against Australia was 214 runs and his ODI average against Sri Lanka, South Africa and India was 44, 51 and 32 respectively.
